OttaEagle 0.2.0

A first Windows installer with the browser runtime, LoginHelper and PDFMaster included. No Node.js installation or separate provider application is required.

Included

• Chromium-powered tabs, navigation, downloads, local bookmarks and history.
• Explicit Chrome bookmark JSON and read-only history database imports.
• LoginHelper 0.3.1: local encrypted vault management, encrypted backup import and explicit exact-origin HTTPS autofill.
• PDFMaster 0.4.1: local document tools and browser PDF handoffs up to 32 MiB.
• Provider selection, disabling, revocation and explicitly approved independent provider packages.

Before you use this preview

• This installer is not Authenticode-signed. Windows may display an unknown-publisher warning. Verify its SHA-256 hash against this release's checksum file.
• Independent security review is pending. Use test credentials; keep encrypted vault backups. Losing the master passphrase cannot be recovered by MultiSeam.
• OttaEagle's vault and PDF library are separate from standalone LoginHelper/PDFMaster data. Vault transfers use encrypted backups, not silent synchronization.
• General Chrome extension compatibility, Chrome password CSV import, live desktop bridges, private browsing and site-permission prompts are not included. Site permissions are currently denied.
• Saving passwords is manual vault management; there are no automatic page-capture/save prompts.
• PDF handoff fetches remote URLs again. One-use links, POST-generated PDFs and embedded iframe PDFs are not covered by automatic routing. Embedded cloud-account features are unavailable.
• No automatic browser updater is included. Check this site for newer releases. This preview is not a complete Chrome replacement.

Install and uninstall

Run the Windows x64 installer, choose your installation folder and use the Start menu or desktop shortcut. The installer is per-user and does not require a separate Node.js runtime. It does not register OttaEagle as your default browser.

Uninstall through Windows Settings. Uninstalling preserves your OttaEagle profile, including local vault data. Export encrypted backups before removing profile files or changing devices.

Components

Electron's Chromium release does not necessarily match the latest Google Chrome. Component notices are also included in the installation.
