This download site
This static site has no advertising scripts, analytics, account system, forms or application cookies. Your browser contacts our server to load pages and download files. Access logging is disabled for this dedicated site; operational error logs may still contain request information such as an IP address. Hosting and network providers necessarily process connection information.
The browser preview
OttaEagle does not implement application telemetry, browser sync or a required account. Bookmarks, history and provider preferences are stored in the local OttaEagle profile. Bookmarks and history are not encrypted vault storage. Websites you visit and the default search engine, DuckDuckGo, receive their normal network requests and have their own policies.
Passwords
The included LoginHelper keeps a local encrypted vault using its existing encryption implementation. Unlocking and selecting a login happen in the provider window. A chosen credential is passed through a narrow local interface to the exact HTTPS login page, without automatically submitting it. A page that receives a password can read it. Vault exports/imports are explicit encrypted backups; standalone app vaults are not silently synchronized.
PDFs
The included PDFMaster processes documents locally. Selected files and inline PDF responses are supplied to its isolated provider window. The embedded provider's remote network access is blocked. Saving to its local workspace or downloading edits is explicit. Its local library is separate from the standalone application and is not encrypted vault storage.
Independent integrations
Installing a collaborator package requires approval of its capabilities. Only install code from publishers you trust. A credential provider necessarily handles the credentials you entrust to it; a PDF provider receives documents you choose to open with it. You can change, disable or revoke these providers in Integrations. Revocation preserves local data rather than deleting a vault.
Your data and uninstalling
The Windows installer preserves your OttaEagle profile when uninstalled. Export encrypted vault backups and download any documents you want to retain before deliberately removing profile files. The preview does not yet provide a complete privacy-controls or browsing-data deletion interface.
